November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and Thursday 19^th November is World Pancreatic Cancer Day. The theme for this year’s global awareness day is ‘It’s about time’, a reminder to all New Zealanders that it is now the time to raise awareness around pancreatic cancer, one of the world’s deadliest cancers. It’s about time to recognise the urgent need to fund more research into treatment and diagnosis. It’s about time to recognise the signs and symptoms as early diagnosis is vital and may increase the chance of survival.
